Men's Singles Badminton Final | Rio 2016 Replays

  • LCW most unlocky guy - Mani kanta
  • Lee chong lose because of his too many error in net shot .May be he is somewhat injured . Although Cheng Long plays well enough but i think Lee had ability to lose him as well - Abdullah Limon

  • Lee Chong Wei ..may be you didn't won olympic gold ..but you won the heart of many of us in the world ...the badminton lengend with largest number of fans in the world ....LEE CHONG WEI ... - Nandu Venugopal
  • The schedule was absurd, both singles games require the most stamina among all five disciplines and yet the doubles had rest between their semifinals and finals while the singles did not. I’m not saying this because I’m a LCW fan, just look at Lin Dan’s match again Victor and you will know. Both Lee and Lin were going to win their matches had they have a day rest before the final and bronze medal match. - Chong Henrik
  • LCW likes to touch his nose when he is nervous... and got cancer. Thankfully cured - Ryeon
  • 1:10:33 who is she? - Renz Cortez
  • Reposted I feel like Chinese badminton team trained Chen Long almost specifically for playing Lee Chongwei: solid defence to counter Lee's quick smashes (24:08, 21:53, 15:41, 11:02, 30:07) great backhand to counter/inject change of pace (15:43), higher reach for quick smashes for not giving Lee any time to break (28:32, 20:12, 14:00)

Lee's only chances were 1) baiting Chen into attack/bating Chen into soft drops, this way he moves Chen around and mess up Chen's defence (11:04, 2:42, 5:00, 18:00) 2) to speed up and gain control of the front court (4:00, 4:29, 5:00, 16:35). He did try to speed up many times in early/mid game, but unfortunately for a man at age of 34, he couldn't keep up the full speed for the entire match. Chen also played a better base game, as Lee made many mistakes towards the end of game 1 (29:28, 31:25, 27:27) potentially due to tiredness from speeding up too early & a dreadful match with LD the day before.

Anyways, this was a great match, and I am glad to analyze it after 4 years. Thanks for the upload. - Leonidas

  • LCW have beat Lin Dan in the semi..luck just not with him that day and also for Malaysia team..just imagine you got 3 player in the 3 different category and not one can win it..I just can't believed it..however congrats to LCW to reached the final for the 3rd time..that is just amazing.. - Melati Boy
